This was taken on the border of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. I was in the Northern Territory and the storm was in Western Australia. The storms this night went for 12 hours. This was the first of the night. In this part of the tropics, the clouds themselves don't move. New storms develop from the main cell. The one pictured here was just starting to split into two sections. The first is developing to the right of the photo and slightly away, the second is developing closer to me. It eventually hid the one behind from view. These were the most amazing storms I have ever watched. You could literally see the clouds eating up the clear air in front.
